Georgia Bound

Via Carolina Prep
Down in Athens for the weekend to take in some tailgating! I do not endorse the 'Dawgs (they're not very nice to Clemson fans), but I do respect their dedication to game day dress. Some Georgia-inspired red and black looks for ya!

Valentino Anyone?

Via The Blonde Salad
I'm sure by now you've seen the Valentino studded and strapped heels. They're surprisingly versatile: from skinny jeans to cocktail parties, they are totally fair game. I especially lust after the red pictured above.

Via The Fancy
For considerably less you can get the look with the Schutz (new favorite shoe brand) version. The black is a great way to mix up your basic black pumps. They did a version of the flats too, but unfortunately they already appear to be sold out. (They were under $50!!!!)

Akola Project

Check out these gorge Akola Project necklaces from Moon & Lola; the necklaces are handmade by Ugandan women are trained by the organization in an attempt to uplift the women and their families out of poverty and into steady, gainful employment, and hopefully better lives. Don't you just want all of them? The necklaces are from $38-78, and are actually hand-rolled paper beads! Love them, and love doing something good.

Birchbox: Know It, Love It

I am, in NO way, a product or beauty guru. I am into things that make me look better, but it's definitely not my main obsession (which is clothes, obviously). However, after finding Birchbox I may end up becoming a product junkie. Every month they send a pretty little box stuffed with generous samples of, like, everything, beauty related. My September box had Bascia face cream, one of those hair ties everyone has been crazy about (I wore it last night, they actually are pretty cool), face cleanser, a perfume sample, a toiletries travel bag, a Madewell coupon; you get my drift. It's like getting a present. Just a little something to brighten your day. It's perfect for people like me that don't want to seek out products, and then, when I find one I like, I can just pop on to the Birchbox website and order. They've got a gabillion (it's a word) other beauty products as well. On the other hand, it's great for people who ARE obsessed with products, you always get to try something new.

Love the moto-inspired look of this sweater jacket. If you've already got Hunter Welly Boots, you need to know about the Welly SOCKS (see fuzzy option above). I am obsessed with the striped version below, it adds some fun and some winter warmth to the classic welly. Check out the Hunter boots, etc. at Monkee's of Chapel Hill!

Spring '13: Oscar De La Renta

So Oscar is my favorite. There is an innate lady-like-ness to his collections, in some ways not my style at all, but I just think he creates art. The colors, the delicate detailing, the sophistication. I do not, however, co-sign the color streaking in the hair. No.

Spring '13: Rebecca Taylor

Rebecca Taylor also featured, in addition to her staple floral prints, acid washed denim to a degree. I liked the moto-style sleeveless vest, I think it's a fun way to change the look of the line's flowy dresses (which I forever love). I feel like it's a good way to incorporate what is obviously turning out to be a Spring trend: acid washed denim. Who knew it was 1987? Also seeing a lot of the collar action. My heart also squealed for the sequined cami and studded cutaway dresses (the nude above being My. Favorite.). OH, oh, oh, and the white jumpsuit with the sheer white chiffon embroidered blouse=PERFECTION.

Friday Faves

Enamored with the GORGEOUS Snowdonia gown from BHLDN. So elegant.

I melt for this sherbet watercolor wallpaper from Black Crow Studios. Can you EVEN??

Tibi Lola Dress. LOVE the bold colors...see the touch of oxblood?

LOVE the quasi-crop purple from II Brunettes in Charleston. (And her hairs.)

Monogram Me

I know you've all seen it. I know you all love it. Might as well order it now...NOW...for 20% off. Seriously, now ^ see, today only!

Spring '13: Mara Hoffman

Mara Hoffman. I am in love. I want to wear every print. I am always dazzled by her use of color, print, and texture. I have to be honest with you: I have seen a lot of peeping skin on the runways. I just...I just don't know how to fight it. I certainly can't join them, so I guess a lot of Spring styles are going to take innovative layering or concealing techniques. Back to Mara-she just speaks to me. This collection is no different.
